No photo yet sorry, but I'm not sure what hay type has been fed to my two fosters all their lives. They called it 'dried grass' and it's a lush dark green, short cut, quite dusty... and the smell is phenomenal! It smells like horlicks. The girls love it, but seem quite chunky. I'm wondering if it is some kind of ready grass? Has anyone heard of this kind of hay before? Is it suitable for their main hay type? I am also providing them with meadow hay to bed, timmothy hay (integrating it slowly) and some plain pets at home hay which my house is overflowing with! It just smells so strong, you can smell it the moment you step into the house!

sounds like redigrass to me, if it is then no it should be fed in moderation as it is high in calcium

super, thanks.. their pee is pretty normal but they are only young. I was worried about the available sugar it might have in it what with them being such squidgy juicy ladies! I will cut it down slowly!
