My guinea's have been a ikle bored lately with the weather been up and down so as i got paid yesterday i thought i would spoil them rotten later today with lots of new toys and other various treats from the bestest pet shop in the world :)

My piggies have a constant supply of meadow hay and a large handful of timothy hay every day - is there any other kind of hay that i could mix up with it?

My guinea's choose the hay over anything so i thought something different and new would cheer up these miserable days up for them.

What about some burgess excel herbage i think they do a camomile one which mine like, or some dried dandelions? Ready grass? xx

Stupid question i know - are they ok to just have these - i don't have to wean them onto them or anything like that?

I know i know i should already know this - but where food and hay are concerned i always worry that if i change something i'll upset their tummies ")

Well you'll just be giveng it as an additional treat, i would still give their normal hay too and just give little bits of the new stuff, but i often just chuck new stuff in there aswell as their normal hay and they've all be fine. x

Mine love Oxbow Meadow Grass (don't give too much and don't give it instead of their normal hay as it's very soft!) and Oxbow Botanical Hay (timothy hay with dried herbs).

Have you tried readigrass or similar?

I think it's called aunty Sallys... (or something like that)
And you can buy all these amazing pellets and packets of dryed herbs and marigold and dandelion root etc... Her stuff is great... Brilliant treats... :)
