What is a guinea pigs chest supposed to sound like

Hello I’m a relatively New Guinea pig owner as my boys are just shy of 2 years. They went to the vet in August for a check up and everything seemed fine. I’m a paranoid patty so I check their chest regularly. I hear a louder noise than their hearts I wouldn’t say it’s popping but it’s a louder badum if that makes sense. I just want to know what it is before I take them to the vet.

I’m afraid it would be impossible for us to say. We can only ever advise a vet check is you are worried.

We would advise you increase the routine weight checks if you are worried about them so you can more closely monitor hay intake
