I noticed this wierd thing on stars pad today when cutting his claws, I dont think its poo cause i couldnt peel it off, i think its part of his pad, it doesnt seem to bother him what can I do to it?
i tried to unpload a pic but it wont let me? It says upload folder full :-\

It could be the start of bumblefoot or it could be additional spurs on the foot? Maybe someone with more knowledge might be able to help you soon xx

I think it could be a Spur. Got this from Guinea Lynx.
''Some guinea pigs develop flaps of tough skin that protrude from their front feet. These spurs can be carefully removed with a nail clipper to prevent accidental tearing. Avoid clipping too closely and causing bleeding.''

Hope that helped. ;)

oh thank you sooo much ill give that a try :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Toffee (RIP) used to have this. Your right, it did look like a bit of poo stuck to his pad, but didn't peel away. I think it was just a skin spur as it didn't get any worse and never seemed to bother him. Keep an eye on it and if it doesn't change I wouldn't worry about it too much. Not too sure what bumblefoot looks like - although I know gp's can be affected. If worried a quick visit to your vet should set your mind at rest.

aww poor Toffee (RIP) sorry to hear about that :'( I'm scared cause i could lose honey soon :o What is bumblefoot is it more serious?

It it sticks out to the side then it could be a spur. However if it is just on the pad of the foot but doesn't stick out it could be the start of bumblefoot.
If it is a spur then you can trim it with nail clippers. If it looks like bumblefoot though don't pick the scab at it could make the foot bleed and cause pain. One of mine has bumblefoot and there is no way to get rid of it. However I clean it regularly and leave the scab on and it and she is absolutely fine and in no pain.

Chrissie at www.gorgeousguineas.com is running trials on a new ointment at the moment which helps my guinea with her bumblefoot. Maybe you could email her a pic and she might suggest something for him.
