Not that my guinea pigs have mites or worms, but when its time to come to do it what would People recommend Is there good over the counter stuff or should you go to the vets and get them?
Also whats the best age to do them?

Xeno spot on's are the best I think...

Depending on their age and size depends on wether you need xeno 450 or xeno 50... :)

If you wanted to do it routinely I think it's every three months...
You can buy this from the vets... But also of amazon for alot cheaper... :)

I get Beaphar just for a monthly treatment to try and prevent mites. It contains Ivermectin which I believe is in the stuff vets give. However if I thought they actually had mites then I would go straight to a vet.

I agree that xeno is the best spot on but you can also get bottles of ivermectin (same stuff as in xeno) as a 1% solution which can work out cheaper if you have several animals to treat or want to do routine treatments. I think 6 months is when you can start doing routine treatments but you can treat younger pigs if necessary. The dose depends on the weight of the piggy, xeno 50 is for piggies under 800g and xeno 450 for over 800g. You'll probably need to use more than one pipette (again depending on weight). For the 1% solution it comes in a dropper bottle and is 1 drop per 500g bodyweight or to be more precise it's 0.025ml per 500g of bodyweight. There is a dosing calculator here along with loads of info on ivermectin treatment. http://www.guinealynx.info/dose_calculator.html :)
