What is the youngest age / lowest weight recommended for neutering a guinea pig?

I think the youngest age is about 6 months, but it's probably better to wait until he is a bit older. Talk to a cavy savy vet who has done lots of these ops before. The experience of the the vet is very important for a good outcome.

Most vets will only neuter at 6 months or older but they should also be above 600g in weight to manage an anaesthetic.

Some vets (not many) will do it younger provided they are over 600g and the testicles are well descended. The age limit is based on size for operating on and making sure the things you want to remove have made their appearance externally ;)

You can neuter (usually) from 16 weeks which is four months providing the boar is big enough but most people wait until 6 months of age. It will also depend on what your vet prefers and recommends.

We will potentially soon be trialling sow ovariectomy's at 3 months of age. This sounds dramatically young but is much more simple when they are this age and have not laid down fat around their ovaries.
