So to cut a long story short I ran out of wood shavings after I had filled the girls bedroom, so they have been living on fleece for 2 days.

I don't think they know what to make of it. Of course there was a lot of zooming around and investigating when it was first put in, but after that they were a bit wary to come out of their bedroom and watched from the doorway.

I haven't made my mind up what I think about using fleece yet. It looks pretty, but then looks so messy once they've dragged hay and pooped across it. Spot cleaning is really easy, but it makes me feel a little neurotic- I think I must have shaken it out about 4 times today because I didn't like it looking messy :red

It's alot easier to clean than shavings and looks alot nicer, and hasn't started to smell yet (touchwood) I'm sure it will by tomorrow with 4 girls peeing and pooping!

The girls now they are used to it seem to like it, after the an hour in a shaded run, Esme really appreciated the fleecy softness and fell fast asleep!

The food still tastes the same on this soft stuff!

This is my magical, poop-multiplying corner!

All pigtures are of Esme! I nearly got one when she was fast asleep on her side, I crept up to the hutch (camera at the ready), opened the door and she looked at me to say 'You woke me up for that?'

I'm still waiting to get a pigture of Rosie asleep, my little sheepy! No chance with the other two, they are still way to wary to fall asleep in full view :)

Aww she looks so cosy. Seriously, what does it matter if it does not look tidy? As long as it is clean that is all that matters. I just have my hay in a pile as the girls like to play in it and it is easier for them to get to. It is their home after all and should be how they like it. It is not mess to them.

I know, I think if the fleece was a bit darker it wouldn't be so noticeable. I think I'm just being silly and not used to it yet, not sure if I am sticking with it at the moment though.

We have our hay in a hayrack and ball and they love stretching up to get it, especially the bits right at the top .They have piles of hay to burrow through in their bedroom :)

But to be honest, as much as I like it when it is first placed in the hutch all neat and tidy, it is a lot less work than I thought it would be.

She's finished her meds now, i think I will continue with the cystease for a few days and then get her in at the vets for an xray next week. She has put on weight as well, she was 1208g yesterday :)

Good girl! pleased she has got her weight back up. Give her a big cuddle for me.

Weighed her again- back down to 1142g. I don't know what to think really, she hadn't had her veggies at that point though x

Hmmmm....

Always weigh at the same point everyday - So you can get a really accurate comparison. 60g could be a wee or poo and fact she hasn't ate yet. x

Aww, bet they are loving the fleece! It's much better for them than the shavings too :)
