Forgive me for the link to the images, I'm not quite sure how to use this site yet. I noticed this scaly bump on my female guinea pig's butt earlier today when I was taking her out to clean her cage. I felt her bum and thought she might have had a mat, so I rinsed her bum under some water to check and saw this scaly, raised bump. It doesn't seem to bother her at all. It feels like a huge callous; it is very flaky and quite hard. She has a normal appetite and has no other bumps on the rest of her body so I have no idea what it is tbh. Any help is appreciated.

Its hard to tell the positioning from the picture - is it near her grease gland?
Either way, any lumps need a hands on vet check so it would be best get her seen

Hi!

Please check whether it is a grease gland (which can get infected but sits in the middle of the bum about a finger's width above the genital area) and whether it looks normal compared to her companion's and our pictures.
If yes, then please clean it following the tips in this guide here: Bathing (including cleaning grease glands)

If not, please have any lump vey checked. They can be a rather wide range of things (from the majority of totally harmless to a minority of the not so) and need a hands-on diagnosis. Playing online guessing games as to their nature won't help you any. Lumps often come up very suddenly to a certain size. Unfortunately, your picture doesn't allow us to place the lump on the body.

I’m sorry for the bad explanation; it is on her butt, and it is a little off center to the right.

In this case, it is not a grease gland. Please have it vet checked. This requires a hands-on examination.
