Hello all, I'm not sure what this is, but i saw it at the back of my guineapig's (female) back hole. It just fell out on its own but of all the things I've read I don't know what this is or what it could be. It doesn't smell or anything.

Looks a bit like grease gland grease?
Boys usually have more active glands, but I've had a couple of girls that have had thick cakes of it stuck to their hairs like that.

If you have a look at her rear end where you would expect to find a tail on her, she may have some hairs still stuck with it.

Its not normally much of an issue but if sometimes it can cause a matting in the hair or get infected (very uncommon & especially in girls).
If it gets thick & you want to remove it, a little bit of the (original green hand cleanser) Swarfega or a mild washing up liquid can be rubbed in to soften it, then rinse off thoroughly with warm water, then dry her thoroughly.

It never used to bother my girls much & normally would just fall off as yours has done.

Xx

Wow, thank you, I didn't know females had grease gland grease. Yea, I used to see it clearly so I put a flashlight onto the tail end to see more of it. I don't think I'll be removing it unless she acts weird about it. I'll do more research but THANK YOUUUUU
