Hello everybody!

I have a question about my sweet piggie Angie, she is 3.5 years old.

I've been last 1.5 month regularly to the vet with her due some bladder issues. (Peeing blood and having pain with peeing/pooping)
She has been on 2 different antibiotics and on painkillers.
The vet made a xray cause she thought it were bladderstones, it was not..
So we made a echo and there was something strange in the bladder that the vet have never seen, she was thinking about polyps but was not sure. Looked like some strings with a bubble attached to the inside of the bladder..
Meanwhile angie is still a happy piggy. Very vital and plays with my other pig and popcorning around! Eating and drinking well! Not having pain during peeing.

This morning it started again.. I went to the vet and got some painkiller with anti-inflammatory and she wanted to make a new echo to see what the condition is of the bladder now, its scheduled next week. During the day she was doing way better again but tonight it went worse.. and she started to pee some white/red stuff, it smells really really bad and it hurts her.

If she is not peeing she is still a really happy pig and she doesn't look sick.. she lays down very comfortable and runs around.

I made some pictures off it, she peed on some food laying around so I could see it.. it's also attached to her poo, but I'm pretty sure it comes out of her bladder.
Maybe somebody recognise something or can give some advice.
I'm definitely gonna call the vet first thing in the morning again.

Thank you!

Sorry for my bad English :) it's really late here right now and it keeps me busy. I cant really sleep.

Poor piggies - she is lucky to have such a concerned owner.
It looks extremely painful and like she has some bladder sludge.
This is when all of the excess calcium builds up in the bladder, and comes out as a thick sludge. The red is proababably blood becasue her bladder walls are so irritated.
She must be in a lot of pain.
In these situations antibiotics and pain killers will help but she may also need a bladder flush.
Where are you based?
If you let us know we can try and direct you towards a vet who is experienced with piggies.

Thank you for the replies! I'm very grateful!

Poor Angie, I already putted my piggies on a calcium low diet when all of this started.
I haven't seen sludge this morning, I still saw some blood in her urine.
Is it possible that she peed it al out yesterday?
And the bad smell is that normal for sludge?

I called the vet and they said that the painkiller with anti-inflammatory should be enough.
They are not a big fan of antibiotics for Guinea pigs..
I asked about bladder grit/sludge and she said that Guinea pigs always have some in they're urine.
I really like my vet, she takes the time she needs for Angie and she is very sweet for her and does whatever she can but I think she doesn't really know what to do with her.

She told me about a clinic that are specialized in Guinea pigs but it's like a 2 hour drive from where I live.
I'm from the Netherlands.

I ordered some eurologist, I've been reading alott of good reviews about it.

I will ask her about bladder flush.
