What would they literally bite your hand off to eat?

My two love melon. They only get this every so often but they absolutely love it! They always have it dribbling down their chins lol. They also love their wee treats that look kinda like white chocolate drops but are made specifically for guinea pigs they know the sound of the wrapper on these and go mad when they hear it opening.

Charlie and Simba LOVE tomato and will always grab that out first and run away with it so they don't have to share, but Fitz and Roy won't touch it, Fitz and Roy are quite picky- so it's got to be salad leaves for them, or dandelions

oh i've never tried my two on tomato. I'm learning so much that i never knew since I joined this forum!

you have to be careful not to give too much as I've read it can give mouth sores, but I've not had a problem, Charlie and Simba have a cherry tomato each or 1/4 of a large tomato every other day and love them, I keep giving them to Fitz and Roy but they won't touch them

I'll keep that in mind thanks. my two don't really like new things so they probs wonts eat them anyway.

My boy likes chicory the best and my girls love dandelion leaves the most but Coco loves brocolli along with Cristelle. My two new girlies love anything in fact they are just starting to pick up with the fresh veg I don't think they had had any before I got them. But I think most of all they all love fresh grass! not too much though

Grass definitely with Spinach coming a close second! Spinach is like chocolate to them! One of my pigs who's no longer with us adored green beans! She'd go round dragging them all away from the others! Very strange because none of the rest have ever really been bothered over them! X

My guys like beetroot salad lol, carrots cucumber peppers green beans grass anything and everything lol, they are pigs and very spoilt

Mine are partial to pepper, dill, parsley, carrots, cucumber and more recently I have discovered that Bradley is rather fond of a grape or two :))

Willow would eat her way through whatever was inbetween her and a piece of red pepper...

My original two, Munchie and Tigger, never used to eat red pepper. I don't think they liked the smell of it all that much, but after they saw Willow munching her way through stick after stick on the salad bowl, I think they decided that it wasn't fair that she got to eat it all, so pretty much ALL of my girls eat it now!

do you peel the grapes lol stupid question i know

I think that depends on the pig! I've had a few that wouldn't touch them with the skins on so they got peeled.

I think the skin masks the smell, so that's why they didn't eat it. If I cut them in half (skins still on) most of my pigs will eat grapes that way :)

When we first got our piggies we didn't peel the skin, but they scooped out all of the inside (except for the seeds!) with their teeth - they're not really that keen on grapes anymore, anyway:))

Parsley with the boys - the girls won't touch it ?/
They all love honeydew melon and broccoli occasionally but they all really go bonkers for British Romaine lettuce :(|)
Love trying new things out for them, tried them with strawberries yesterday and was a no go, bought some raspberries a couple of weeks ago and my one boar bit it, closed his eyes, shuddered, dropped it and ran off :(|)
Oh the joys of a slave...:x

The girls love melon they will each take a chunk and run off with it also red chard, this is guaranted to get the girls wheeking.

I generally leave the grapes whole or slice them in half, can't be bothered faffing about and peeling them :))

It's very weird though because when they had tried peppers and grapes previously they hated them, same with cucumber. Now they love them.

hahaha oh don't get me started with that....

Oreo is a real picky eater but however she goes crazy for apples. Literally. She will attack and try and take the apple out of your mouth. As well as she love freeze dried strawberries.

My guinea pig Butters, loves red peppers, parsley and carrots :)

He likes grapes too but I think the first three I mentioned are his favourites :D

There's not a lot my two won't eat but their favourites would probably be grass, spinach, dandelion leaves, cucumber and peppers. X

I always hear people speaking about how much their piggies love peppers and mine actually refuse to eat them a lot of the time. Because they are high in vit c though I've managed to persevere and discovered that if I put them in their veggie bowl once they have finished everything else they reluctantly eat it when they realise there is nothing better on offer. So fussy! It's not like peppers are the cheapest veg either.

My boys get what I call a veg medley every other day. It has spinach, broccoli, parsley, cucumber and apple. As soon as I grab the saucers out of the cupboard they know what is coming and squeak the flat down! It's funny to watch them but they both adore parsley! Parsley is number one with broccoli a close second. The apple is always last to go but they can't resist in the end! They are also partial to a grape or two!

Our girls (Rose & Martha) love dandelions, grass, and cherry tomatoes the best.

Carrots are treated with disdain, and are always last to be eaten. They only get small amounts of carrot anyway, but when they have carrot they will eat the juicy bit out of the middle and leave the rest.

sweet stalks of grass, dandelions, peppers red or green (the cheap bag from asda is good value, lots of misshapes but not many seeds).
do you have to worry about grape pips?
