I just put Dahlia back in the cage after holding her to find this on my hand:

Does anyone know what it is or if it's cause for alarm? I've never seen anything like this before and have no idea if it's normal or if I should take her to a vet. It's Sunday, so it's not something that's an emergency, is it?

We'll need to wait for a health an illness guru to answer but. I'm pretty sure you don't need to book an emergency appointment

I'm not sure what that is but how's Dahlia doing, like acting, looking ect?

She's perfectly normal except for that! I didn't even notice anything odd went she passed it; I just put her in the cage and there it was. She's alert, eating, drinking, and seems just fine.

Elsewhere someone guess it might be a large mucus plug?

Best bet is see vou vet ! At a guess would be a subatious syst has poped, or an absses burst

I didn't answer last night as I was not sure, but I don't think it is a mucous plug as I have seen one before and it didn't look like that. I would get it checked out.

Dahlia was pregnant when I got her, so she's absolutely not a boy.

Alright, I'll schedule a vet appointment.
Good to know :) you'd be surprised how often people ask things like that and things are not what they seem.

Good luck with the vets.

let us know how you get on x
