I live in Iran and our tap water is supposed to be perfectly safe to drink. My family however have always been a bit paranoid about it so they decided to buy one of those huge water purifying machines so the whole house now has purified water. Before they got those filters they used to boil the water in huge kettles, let it cool down and bottle it up for use in the next couple of days. I got my little piggy only 7 month ago and I noticed right away that she refused to drink tap water, filtered water or the boiled water. The poor thing would wheek like crazy to get a watery veggie instead. After a couple of weeks I accidentally filled her bottle with a bottled water that I had bought and she drank that like crazy! Poor soul was having the first drink in her life!
I have been giving her bottled water ever since and she seems to be fine with it. The only problem is that the bottled water apparently comes from a spring up in the mountains and the bottle says it has a whole load of minerals which I'm really worried might not be good for her in the long run. It is the only sort of water that she drinks, is it ok to go on with spring water? What should I do?

( I'v heard some people say that well water is good for piggies...We have this well in our backyard which we use to water the plants, but we live pretty close to the Caspian sea so I guess the water is totally polluted, I really don't want to risk that, or should I?)

Sorry long post @)

I'm no expert but I would think that the bottled spring water would be ok for her. I think the only thing to be careful of is if it contains added calcium as this would not be good. Hopefully someone will come along with more information. :)
