Hi Welcome to the forum, the above link I don't image will stop mange mites but to be quite honest in the 3 years of having guinea pig's I've treated them twice for mites, I find treating the problem is better than treating to prevent mites.

When I need to treat my pigs, I use;

Xeno 50 for pigs under 800 grams;

Xeno 450 for pigs over 800 grams -

I ONLY treat when necessary!

I had a long chat with my vet about this when 1 of my boys had mites and he confirmed what flintstones has said ie only treat when you need to. in a domestic setting ie at home.
Might be different for rescues who are having new animals coming and going from different backgrounds but for piggies as pets at home, he recommended just use xeno when mites have been diagnosed.

thanks hun, well they wont be going out in garden for a while with this blinking weather and the lady treated them the day i collected them so they should be ok for a couple of weeks any ways. is there anything els i can do for them or give them that you give yours? not for mites but for anything els?

I don't treat mine either, and in 7 years I have had one case of mites. That was Maisie and the vet treated her and they went, Maurice didn't even catch them off her.

I do however, treat them with Beapher Flyguard in the summer
