Well. My boys have an edible nest that they like snuggling in, it's kind of like a bowl with a flat bottom that's on its side....hard to explain but anyway, I was sweeping the cage and I tipped the nest to sweep up any poops in there, and well...these fell out.

Now, for a short period of time they had no water, either the bottle fell off, I forgot to fill it, or they were unable to access it. Is dehydration the cause? Vet or no vet? Because their poops are 100% fine now, and they're both perfectly normal. I'm usually vigilant with water, and now this...I feel such a bad piggy slave:soz:

The digestion is just a touch off, but nothing to worry about. If it doesn't normalise within a day, take them off veg for a day, so they have to eat lots of fibre (hay). That should do the trick.

Piggies should not get badly dehydrated all that quickly if they still get their normal veg, even if they are without water for less than a day.

You need to see a vet promptly if a guinea pig has acute fluid diarrhea. See a vet during regular hours if any soft/shapeless poos don't start firming up again within a day of no fresh food or if there are ongoing/recurring digestive issues.
