Got Suki out for a cuddle today... i dont get her out very often because she doesnt seem to like it very much. She has a fairly large sore on her side but hasnt got any anywhere else... is this more fungal infection because after Sixx went we disinfected the entire cage :\ Will be making a vets appointment first thing needless to say!

Sorry to hear/see this Annaliese. To me that looks more likely to be fungal than anything else. Probably worth sending a PM to Hels or sokel and asking how they treated the pigs they'd had in with the bad sores (Buddy was one - although of course Suki is nowhere near as bad as Buddy was, the condition looks vaguely similar).

thanks guys :) I'll catch graham on msn later :) The vet told me it looked like an infected bite wound :S told me to use bepanthan and keep her seperate from the other pigs until it has healed. I'm gonna get a second opinion because A) they dont fight and I have never seen one of the pigs go for her so much to make a mark that large and B) although it is isolated unlike Sixx's sores, its still fairly coincidental and I'm not gonna let it slide by to chance.

camrosa is really good but realllly expensive, might be worth the investment though I'll have a gander online :)

weve had a look (me and the other half) do we need to buy a starter pack or just the ointment... hes able to afford both but will the removal cream and shampoo just be wasted?
