I was stroking Daisy after clipping her nails and this is what I found on my hand!
I searched her fur and on top of the white bits of fur (where its most visible) there are brown specs.
there are no lice in her fur and her fur is lovely and shiny so what is this?

So confused.
Thanks everyone.

OO Er! I'm not sure. What bedding are they on? Are they indoor or outdoor? How does her skin look?

Strange, huh?
She's an indoor pig and never goes outside. (I dont have a garden)
She's on fleece, so can't be bedding particles :{
Her skin is absolutely fine, and her coat is shiny. So strange :/

What is your hay like? If you have recently topped up hay and she has walked underneath it when you've been doing it, it could be dust from their hay?

She does have a hay tray, which she loves to sit in, which was topped up this morning :))
I think we've solved it! Thanks Toffewoffee! x

Hmm, it looks nothing like static lice and is only on top of the fur not actually in it.
There is no irritation/fur loss and she seems happy in herself with no scratching so I think its probably just dusty hay :))

Maybe mites?

I was told when checking for mites if you a kitchen towel across the back and it comes up with black spots then it's mites. This was the advice for my hamster - but I guess it would apply to guinea pigs too.

Has your piggy been scratching a bit more than usual?

You responded about the scratching as I wrote mine! Nevermind. Erm a strange one then! Check the hay bag! :)
