Sadly my guinea pig peppa passed away this morning which leaves her sister peanut on her own. You can see from her behaviour that she is really sad, will she cope on her own?

I am very sorry for your loss! You are welcome to post a tribute to Peppa in our Rainbow Bridge section anytime it feels right for you.

Here are our tips on what your can do for Peanut: https://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/threads/looking-after-a-bereaved-piggy.110463/
How quickly you need to look for company depends on how badly Peanut is pining; if she is refusing to eat, it is pretty urgent.
Your closest rescues are Little Pips Rehoming in Sidmouth, Norman Gorman just across the border in Cornwall or rescues in the Bristol area, depending on where in Devon you live. They are the safest places for your to let Peanut choose a new healthy and guaranteed not pregnant mate of her own choice under expert supervision, so you do not have to worry about any problems and will find that seeing her getting her sparkle back is a huge relief for you, too!

Please still use our introductions tips and start in a neutral area at home before you move the piggies to a cleaned and rearranged cage.
