Just noticed the post where there is piggy weights. I have never done this before but will get scales tomorrow and start. What should a guinea pig weigh or is that a silly question?

Depends on age. Betwenn 1 and 4 lb's they are all different. I have 2 10 mnth old boars that weigh 1300g which is around 2 and a half lb. :)

i have 5 month old boars and one isn't much smaller than yours. hope he doesnt get to fat. haha

LOL well they can grow to 4lb's obviously that is the upper end of the scale and as long as he gets exercise he'll be fine. I have a Rex/Texel who is 7 months and he is 2 and a half pound so he is going to be bigger than Sunshine and Twinkle.

Twinkle looks smaller than Sunshine but he is quite compact, he's such a stud! :D

I just find it strange that i never thought of doing this in the past with my previous 4 sows. No one mentioned it to me. I think my boys are going to be big. The get 4 hours out in a pen during the day and about 1 and half hours open floor time at night, sometimes more. They just love to eat. haha xx

yeah it really depends on the indivisual O0 my adult piggies are all around the 2lb mark O0 and the babies are only 11oz and 13oz! they are only 8 weeks though! ;D :smitten:

i weighed mine last night, the mum weighs 1.16, Louis weighs 2.9, coco weighs 2.3 and charlie weighs 2.6 and the babies are around 13 ounces to 15 ounces

you cant get anything cuter than guinea pig babies. Seeing a pig giving birth is amazing aswell

yeah it's so amazing :smitten: you feel privalleged don't you :smitten:

you really do. I was crying uncontrollable throughout the whole thing.
