After sadly losing Max, I contacted @pig in the city to see if she could find a new Husbpig for my sows, Bess and Sparkle.

I took them dating ( chaparoned !) and they both fell for this gorgeous boar ...

Well, all I can say is Bess and Sparkle have got great taste in men BUT - they could have chosen a suitor with a better name ! His name is Fish !

Sorry, I draw the line - I am NOT adopting a boar called Fish!

Please help me choose a new name for this gorgeous boar .

He came to BARC about 3 months ago. His friend (who was called Chips) died in the summer, probably from heat stroke.

He is around 2 years old. The family that owned him were unhappy with him living alone (especially as he was in a garage visited by rats) so approached @pig in the city to rehome him.

He was quite shy and was thin when he arrived, it was about 2 weeks before he was brave enough to come out and be fed by hand .

He is a lovely gentle boy. Pig in the City did try to date him with a boar but he was quite anxious so it was decided he would be happier with a Wifepig or 2 .


I have toyed with a few names and have shortlisted ...

Nemo (keeps the fish theme )
Marillion (ditto)
Mr Spock
Spartacus
Reuben

When I read the options before seeing the photo's I loved the name Spartacus but after seeing his pictures he just looks so much like a Reuben
 
I voted Reuben and Nemo. I'm surprised so many others had the same idea. I really couldn't decide. One side of the piggy suited Reu and the other Nemo. :))

Fish was neutered just over a week ago - we've got another 4 1/2 weeks to wait until he can move in with the girlies.:(

Voting will close on 10th Feb so, there is still plenty of time for people who haven't voted yet.

He will take his new name when he starts his married life !

I've voted for Reuben lovely name for a gorgeous piggy. He reminds me of my first Rescue pig Dumpling. Wish I could find a name for my baby I have done a poll like you and up to now there's no stand out name. Still time for things to change I guess keep voting peeps
