There is a lone 2 year old boar in a rescue centre him and his brother had to be separated they fought a lot and drew blood, he has been on his own a while now. I already have two boys who are in a 2.5x 7 c and c cage. I was thinking of adopting him obviously he wouldn't be in the same cage but I would make the boys cage bigger a separate a bit off.
The only thing that's holding me back is I know I don't have enough room to find him a companion.
What do you guys think ?

Any chance they would offer boar bonding or let you take your boys in to meet him?

I've had a trio of boys a few times, but it's really difficult to get to work. Whenever I consider a trio I always have to work out if I can handle 4 in case it doesn't work.

Last time I tried it didn't work and I had 4 boys for a while.

If you can't do boar bonding you really need to think whether it's worth the possibility of splitting up a good bonded pair, as they won't necessarily go back together if the trio fails.

I wouldn't even attempt to bond him with my other two :). I spoke to the women at the rescue again and he's been on his own 7 month and she thinks it's best if he's own his own as he tends to get bullied and it tends to be really bad. I was thinking if I decided to go for him I would put his cage beside my other two so he can at least see them. Although i am not sure if this would bother the other two?

It depends on the pig. Some of mine haven't been bothered with having a neighbour, and others go wild along the grids.

You could see how they are and if need be move his cage away.

I currently have a pair and a lone boar. The lone boar's cage is below the other two, as one constantly rumbles along the divide if he's next door.
