what temperature do you bring your piggies in at?

i know guineapigs can suffer from heat stroke at temperatures around 25 degrees and over so i was wondering at what temperature do you decide its hot enough for you to bring them inside? just trying to get a rough idea! inside stays about 21 degrees in this hot weather so i was thinking as soon as it hits 22 degrees in the shed thats an indication to bring my girls in?

I’ll put mine on the lawn if is going to be a warm, sunny day and once it is at about 23/24 in the shed (and that can be a 15/16 degree day outside if the sun is shining) as I know from that point it is likely to just get too warm too quickly.
If it isn’t sunny but is just warm, then the shed may not overheat at all so they stay in there. (Obviously I keep an eye)
Like today it is going to be 18 but fairly cloudy, so they may not need to come out at all as the shed wont get dangerously hot (although they will probably come onto the lawn for some grazing time anyway)

Once it is 25 and likely to rise on the lawn, then they come into the house.

yes i can’t wait until i can put them out on the lawn but they’ve only had handfed grass so far so can’t rely on leaving them outside because i dony want to over do the grass! i’ve also read to cut out fresh grass if a pigs got a UTI so i can’t even start with 15 minutes! typical as its such lovely weather, maybe ill try to put them on something on the grass..? thanks so much that’s really helpful!

Where have you heard to cut out grass when they’ve got a UTI? If she is still eating normally and they are used to getting a handful of grass, then I don’t think there is any reason not to give it.

i must have got my information mixed up lol - too much to read! looks like its only recommended to not feed lettuce with urinary tract issues!
