Junior Guinea Pig
Just wanted to see what times of day most people's piggies were the most active. I've heard they are dusk and dawn animals but my piggies seem to have a completely different schedule! What about yours?
What times are your piggies most active during?

Mine are active when:
- They hear the garden door open
- When they hear the front door open
- When they hear the fridge open
- When they hear someone chopping something on the chopping board
- When they hear a plastic bag
- When they hear my daughter come home from school work (the giver of 'secret' treats
So basically if there is the potential for food they will crash around the cage screaming and wheeking and biting the bars.

As indoors pets they do adapt to our own lifestyles and hours to a certain extent; especially when it comes to feeding times, ours and their activities (like tv, music, run time and cuddles etc.) and attention.

I don’t tend to notice patterns of activity. They are active when the feel like it. And most definitely active if they hear me open the door, open the fridge, or even if I just move! 
I agree that they become very accustomed to an indoor lifestyle. Mine very much know and are comfortable with their routines. And they definitely try to take advantage of me working from home (better puppy dog eyes than my dog gives)!

Mine are active on and off all day especially if they think food may be on offer, the seem to doze with one ear on high alert just in case. They are the most active in the evening though, that's when we get the most zoomies and popcorning.

Betty and Winnie tend to rest more in the morning with just the odd bosh about, then shout the place down for their dinner late afternoon, with any zooms and popcorns more likely in the evening. I also find there’s usually a fair bit of activity and wheeking going on the minute you’ve settled down to watch tv in peace.
