Hi All,

As some of you know I got Kitty from Helen on Sunday and tried bonding her with 2 of my sows which made Leia agressive not to Kitty but to her sister Lyra.

So I cleaned them all out and tried her with Flora, Fleur, Amber and Pearl and it seemed to work although Amber for some reason has taken a dislike to her and now I am afraid Kitty is just not as bold as the others.

Should I wait and see if it passes or put Kitty on her own until she gains in confidence? I'm sure they will all bond eventually and this is out of character for Amber as she is normally a sweet little girl I think the problem is Kitty is frightened someone is going to pounce on her and she is frightened.

But if I remove her she will never get over it, but then if I keep her there then it may stress her more?

What do I do!

Thanks!

Louise

Hi louise

If it was me i would take her out and keep her on her own. Just for a little, i would cuddle her loads more and try to build up her confidence, i would then try them again.

It could pass leaving her with them, but i would worry that they would all end up being very stressed out litte piggies:o

Kitty is ok now, something and nothing. Peter has been watching her and she is settling down. Amber just wanted to play! Going to put them all in the big run for a run around with lots of igloos and see if she enjoys that. :)

Thanks Sue, never really had a problem with sows so was concerned about her. She's lovely, very gentle and its been a busy week for her so with any luck she will be ok now.

Lyra and Leia have calmed down again, I know better now then to introduce a wee one to those two madams! :(|)

And then we have Twinkle, constantly humping Milo, is it a full moon? Most of my lot have gone of their rocker these past couple of days! :))

It is almost a full moon! Haha! Buns have been fine at my end, they were amazed by the snow this morning. Ears pricked up and wanted to play in it! :))

Glad to hear that things seem to have settled down.

Sometimes a stressed and frightened piggy gets aggressive ... on the defence, I guess ... which causes problems with the others. They think she is aggressive when she is just frightened, so they get shirty, if you know what I mean.

Hopefully, all is calm now!
