Hello everyone!

Hope your all well and your furries are well too!

I seem to be having problems with my little bruce (who turned 1 on the 10th July!)

Out of my 6 boars he is 1 of 2 that is on his own due to fighting and drawing blood. My other pig Dexter who is on his own - loves been on his own and is much happier that way.

However Bruce is not so happy and i don't know what to do with the poor fella.

He sulks in his bed most of the day only comming out for veggies which he carries to bed before eating - when its exercise time he just runs back to the shed as if he doesn't want to be out.

I had him vet checked today just to be on the safe side and she said he seems absolutely fine.

I can only assume that my Bruce needs some piggie company but unfortunately the only pig i have who i could pair with him is Dexter who has made it perfectly clear he wants nothing to do with him.

So what do i do with my sweet boy? Another guinea pig is not an option as my shed is full - i've been bringing him indoors during the day which seems to perk him up for a short time but then he just hides in his pigloo.

I really don't want to rehome him (if it HAD to be done for his happiness and all else failed then i would obviously consider it)

Any ideas? I can't stand seeing him so sad :(

Just to add - he is in a shed with the other 5 pigs - he can hear them and smell them but not see them as all the pigs seem to get wound up when they can see each other.

oh dear........sorry thats happening. I tried to pair my Piggy up with males but none ever worked (sometimes it works sometimes not)

I'm hoping someone can help you I dont know what to say :(

I hope things work out for you.

By the way I adore your name PiggyPower thats fab :))

I did consider that but the problem i have is if i try to introduce him to a bonded pair will i then end up with the pair being seperated too?

Urgh i love boars but there such hard work at times lol

Can you arrange the cages so that he and Dexter can see and chat to each other? I have two single males that cannot live in the same hutch as each other but are great mates with a wire divide. They potter about and chat to each other, sleep next to each other very happily on either side of the divide. When I have tried them together they want to kill each other within seconds, yet are miserable when not in adjoining cages.

Thats not a bad idea! i can't move the cages as there fixed to the shed for safety - but i could convert the shed floor so brucy can spend his day next to dexter and then pop him back into his own bed on a night - oooooo i could get the runs out and put them together too!

Why on earth didn't i think of this? I swear my brain doesn't work lately!

Thank you !
