As Keith passed away this morning I'm worried about his brother William.

I don't want him to get lonely, they were ALWAYS together - William even nursed Keith up until he died.

I just couldn't lose another piggy, because he got lonely.

I'm sorry to hear about Keith passing.

Is William still eating and drinking etc?
How old is he?
Guinea pigs don't like to be lonely obviously so sometimes it can be better to get a new friend sooner rather than later.

Consider going to a rescue for some boar dating?
Here are some rescues in your area

William ate A LOT this morning, he's currently out in the run, running around. He will be three at the end of the month.

I've always had guinea pigs in pairs from the beginning, so introducing them to a new one is a little daunting.

I would love for him to have another friend, but I'm not keen on having a female and having him either a)neutured (I couldn't risk him dying during the procedure) and b)having babies.

So the only thing would be to get another boy, but I have heard they are notorious for fighting.

Thanks fore the links.

he is at a good age - a young baby boar for him could work perfectly as William is out of his hormonal stage now :) Try giving them rescues a ring and see if they have any young males in that you could take William to meet.

Thanks guys - just got in touch with the lady who runs it. Luckily she's only about a 25 minute drive away.

I'm anxious to get the ball rolling as soon as possible so he's not too lonely.

Thanks guys.
