First off sorry if this is the wrong place...

As some of you may have read already i just lost one of my boys today :'( R.I.P Snap, But now am concerned about my other pig crackle, He and Snap has always been together for the 3 years and 2 months i've had them, never been apart for more then 2 days, Everytime Snap had to stay at the vets for more then one day i give crackle as much company as i could but he still isn't his self. Being alone must be getting at him and no matter how much i play or hold him he is still not as active as he was, He is now starting to stay in his house all the time and doing nothing else....

I was wondering what it would be like introducing him with another Piggy, I don't have another and nor am i allowed another one while living at home.. But if he is getting depressed and lonley and would be better off with company of other pigs, i would have to give him up to a rescue or someone i know would look after him for the rest of his life.. but i don't know what or how pigs react with other pigs they haven't been with...

I feel so sorry for you not only have you just lost Snap but now you have to make a hard decision about Crackle. It would be best to get him another companion, however, if you are not allowed then give it a couple of days to have a long hard think of what you think would be best. At the end of the day you are the only one who knows Crackle. If I was in your position I would keep him and just give him as much attention as possible. Let us know what you decide. :)

sending hugs your way, what a difficult situation!

Maybe if you explained the situation to whoever you live with at home then you would be allowed to get him a friend? :-\

Maybe give him a bit more time? he prob feels lonley and unsure of where his friend is... in time he might get used to how things are?

Like everyone has said: you are the only one who really knows him so no matter what you will do what you feel is best :)

good luck :smitten:

I've decided to keep him i could'nt bare to lose another one and i would always be thinking what he was doing and how he was if he was somewere else so am going to keep him but treat him and enhance his cage to give him lots of things to do.

Aww thats great :)
I'm sure he would love his cage to be more fun and lots of cuddles from his mummy :smitten:
