Treacle is currently on 1ml of Cerenia a day and she hates it. She had got used to the yummy taste of the Metacam but she is really struggling with this. Is there anything I can mix it with to make it taste nicer? I've heard that Ribena is good but I wanted to check it won't affect the medicine?

I had the same problem. The first med Albie was on he loved. But the second lot he hated. The vet told me to use ribena. I tried it but he still hated it it didn't help us. Maybe your Treacle will be better behaved than Albie. He's a bit of a yob at times.

It should be OK. Alternatively, give the meds they hate pure (goes in quicker) and then something to wash the taste away immediately afterwards.

I've used Ribena by just dipping the tip of the medication filled syringe into it. Worked for me.

I've done similar. I've calculated to put cranberry juice into the syringe first, then meds, then cranberry again, but careful not to shake the syringe any as the mixture does mix and defeats the object.

I used the diluting Ribena without water for Kasper and the medicine went down quickly. Trying to get him to take the medicine then eat something tasty afterwards resulted in me being headbutted and the treat being eaten before medicine haha
