I'm just curious what people find annoying or difficult about taking guinea pigs in car journeys
I use those carriers, Pigson and Teddy travel well, I attach a small water bottle inside, lots of hay, they are fine. These are available in the uk: http://www.wayfair.co.uk/Savic-Pet-Carriers-and-Accessories-C1763736.html
Thanks for the Waifair link @Wiebke . I need to get a decent sized pet carrier as the one I have is a bit on the small size.
I like the look of this one ...

I have 3 Guinea Pigs and I like them to travel in the same carrier but with a tunnel each (material).
Do you think a water bottle would attach to the inside of one of these @Treacle?
Cucumber is also another good idea. Never had a problem with bottles leaking, and I have drilled holes into the side of carriers to fit water bottled when I kept ferrets and use to take them everywhere with me.I use a pet-carrier that opens at the top if I have to take a piggie to the Vet. I don't drive,so that's the only time that they would have to go in a carrier. My Vet is only a 15 minute walk away, but I usually take a few bits of cucumber to provide the piggie with liquid and/or pick some dandelion on the way there. I bottle might fall down or leak. Not all pet-carriers have attachments for a water bottle. Mine doesn't.
