I'm doing a poll to see who would do what.

Kenickie is my baby boar. his about 5 months old and is very sociable. unfortunatley he didnt get on with my olsder boar Lincoln (was lincoln who didnt like him) but i know Kenickie loved having lincoln around. now his on his own i can tell he doesnt like it.

So..... do in get him neutered to join my 3 girls or do i get him a new friend? i have the space to do either. just wondered what you thought

I would try bonding him with another boar first before thinking about neutering. I personally would only have him neutered if all other options had failed.
 
Boyfriend for me too! So is Lincoln alone now then or does he have a buddy? :)
 
i would get him a friend Chez. Boars should not be neutered until over 6 months and I always stick to trying to avoid having operations or anything as it can be really stressful for the piggy.
 
thats what I'm thinking. i decided on the neutering as i knew he was a gentlemen and would be great with the girls but i had a second think and decided i was abit nervous about the op. as i could always get the girls a rescued neutered boar.
 
That's how I feel about neutering Chez. I was all for it with Jasper when he came here as a forever but when push came to shove I couldn't do it and he is happy with Logan even if Logan tries to get on his back all the time! Haha

I would neuter if he won't take to a boar though but does sound like he is a placid piggy and would welcome a little friend. :)

Yeap, try him with a young boar first before putting him through an operation.

I am sure there are lots of young boars out there. I have Ant and Dec but I would like them to be rehomed as a pair.

thanks guys. if anyone has any boars that they think would get on with kenickie please post and let me know. also any neutered boars out there let me know as i would like a guy in with my girls. x
