Okay I have 4 guinea girls all housed together. They vary from 4 months old to 2 months old.

In a seperate cage I have 2 girls, one looks about 7 weeks and the other is supposed to be almost 6 but to me she looks closer to 5. She's pretty small.

The plan is to put all 6 together in a huge c&c.

Now here's the dilemma - do it after the weekend when we have time to do the C&C or wait a few weeks until little one is a bit bigger?

How are bigger guineas with babies? I introduced one of my others to the big ones when she was pretty small nd it went okay only this one seems so much smaller. She may not be - it may just be my imagination....

Thoughts please!

I would introduce them on neutral ground and see how it goes.

They are all pretty young, so there shouldn't be too much of a problem in my opinion; they should bond easier when they're still youngsters.

I have a big run that I introduced the 4 of them in and it went well. I can use that again.

So no worries about the baby being so dinky compared to the largest one?

I've had an 8week old baby in with a 5year old pig and he was very gentle and protective of the baby, more so than he has been with any of my others so i'd say being so small may work to her advantage? x

Well I introduced the biggest to the smallest last night on the sofa and that was stress free.

We're away now until Monday so can't get the cage sorted really until Tuesday so going to leave them until then and then give them all a brand new big cage to run around in. Fingers crossed!

I agree with Wiebeke! x
