Hiya guys
My boars have being separated for quite a few months now. They live side by side in our busy kitchen.
In peoples opinion would the pigs be happier staying in my kitchen where they seem to watch us and interact with each other through the bars (not always nicely hence the separation) or would they be happier moving into my our spare bedroom with a sow each (after they have being neutered) then stacked on top of one another.
I’m asking because it will of course be a lot quieter for the pigs in the spare bedroom than in the kitchen. I wouldn’t be able to keep them in the kitchen if they had a sow each x

Having a live-in friend is better than living side by side. But if neighbours are the only thing you can manage then that’s fine. It’s up to you whether you want to get them a sow each. If you did and they moved to the spare room that’s okay as well. Our piggies live in the dining room because that’s where we have space for them. There’s always someone walking past as it’s the area between the kitchen and sitting room and where the stairs end. You can always go in and spend time with them in the spare room so that’s fine. You could even set up floor time for the to have access to 24/7 if there’s enough space for two cages to be on the floor side by side. So many possibilities 😁

PS best to go to a rescue once they’re 6 weeks post neuter.

Single and side by side is ok, but neutered and with a sow each is better.
Location is much less of a concern, particularly if they have a friend to live with
