My personal messge thingy is no longer there where has it gone??

Not sure what you mean by personal message thingy? Do you mean the place where you read messages? If so you can access that from the top of any page by clicking the link next to your name.

To send a message click on a users name to reach their profile then click on 'send message' and that should send you straight to the message page.
