Hi their I went on holiday for 2 weeks and have come back today to find this on both my piggy noses. Bornvill who the picture is off has a patch than his brother. It's on both of their noses nowhere else. It doesn't seam to hurt or bother them I have touched it rubbed it and squeezed the little white bits and they don't seam to care it's a Saturday here and no vets open unless u pay a call out fee. Can this wait till Monday? Is it serious. They are fine and happy I can't see anything else on them. Their cage is clean etc. The lady looking after them said it apeared about 10 days ago it started small and got bigger but as it wasn't bothering them she didn't do anything about it. Does anyone please know what it is and how I can help my boys please.

The shampoo would be fine to use but it won't help get rid of the fungal and I think the canestan should be ok to use.I was going to buy some myself to try.Ill tag @Wiebke as I'm not positive you can use it on guinea pigs.

I wouldn't treat it on spec, it could cause more problems/irritation. There are different types of fungal problems so best bet is to wait and see a piggy savvy vet for the best course of action :)

My vet isn't piggy savvy but she is good she my vet for my dog and mice to lol I just don't like them having to wait xx

It can wait til Monday to see the vet. I wouldn't treat on spec. Let the vet diagnose and prescribe treatment for it.

Hi I have added my location. I will ring my vets Monday morning thank you very much everyone xx

Yep looks like a fungal infection, glad you are going to the vets on Monday morning.
It won't do them any harm to wait until then and it will be worth it to get the right treatment. :)
