So, what are your piggies munching on for dinner? What are their fave foods? And what do they hate?

Mine are just dining on curly kale for tea.

Their fave food is, without a doubt, grapes.

But I tried them with tomatoes and they literally stamped on them in anger! @)

Mine adore romaine lettuce and cucumber. They hate broccoli and will not touch it. Tonight they had carrot tops.

Our gang had Romaine lettuce, mixed salad, chicory and dill this evening :)
They adore cherry tomatoes, parsley (in moderation) beetroot, celery, corn on the cob, grass and dandelion leaves - hate strawberries :(
Having 20 of the little fur loves, they insist on a well stocked piggy fridge and 'hooman' food is not allowed in there - we often have to put some of the veggies into the 'hooman' fridge if both my partner and myself get food on the way home from work for them :x

Hmmm some interesting ideas here I've never tried.

How funny that they have their little preferences when they are animals of instinct, fascinating.

Guinea Pig Slave, you really are a piggy slave, tee hee x

Mine adore melon, basil, coriander, parsley and salad leaves.

They are very fussy pigs though and dislike as many things as they like!

So far I've only found 3 things mine won't eat - strawberries, courgette and cabbage, anything else is gone in seconds :))

Melon... oooh I'll try that.

Basil... I have growing in my kitchen, just offered it to the boyz but they turned their noses up. Sometimes it takes a while with something new tho.

A lot of people are saying herbs... that's very interesting.

Squeak loves grapes and tomatoes but she can't stand raspberries! She's very picky when it comes to green beans.... If they are not the right sort, shape, colour, whatever then she will NOT eat them! rolleyes mallethead

My three have had no veggies tonight as I overfed them veggies and fruit on my birthday and upset their tummy's (bad mummy)
But usually they have yums everyday twice a day lunch time and bedtime.

Hmm, Leo and Fudge are defiantly lovers parsley and broccoli excluding Zee who loves everything sweet and bad for her.
The ultimate favourite of all three I would say Banana for Zee, cauliflower leaves for Leo and coriander for Fudge.
I also love that yours stamped their foot at tomato. :)):))

:ALJFBQ00209070429A:My boy loves Italian Parsley and Endives and as a treat mixed fruit Granola Cereal. I also recently introduced him to Watermelon. I am also so concerned about kidney problems because I have read about common illnesses regarding kidney problems so as a precaution I only give him Distilled Water in his water bottle. He is also a big fan of Frozen Banannas.:laluot_26:

Mine like anything green and leafy, but they don't really go for carrots. They like cucumber, tomatoes and sweet pepper. And the occasional bit of peach!
But their absolute favourite thing of all is grass, either Readigrass or fresh from the garden.
The herb thing is interesting. I buy Herbal Garden treat bags for mine, which smells lovely and they do enjoy it. I can't remember what's in it exactly, and I daren't pick up the bag to look as they know the sound of it and I will have NO PEACE at all:))

HA... know that feeling!

I can't enjoy anything in a noisy wrapper, the boyz think it's something for them. And their heartbroken faces when I started crunching and they don't get anything is more than I can bare!

My girls hate any herbs, green bell pepper and watercress. They like carrot, lettuce, cucumber, red bell pepper and broccoli. I think they just copy each other though - even if it's something they normally eat, when one of them won't eat it, they all leave it.

Mine all love salad leaves, lettuce, cucumber, bell peppers and dandelions. They have fads though. Do anyone elses pigs go off certain foods? For example they all loved tomato, but recently the girls went right off it and won't touch it. Dougal has gone off his green beans and the girls have gone off celery too, which was always a favourite. The girls don't like carrot, but the boys love it! :))

Mine have coriander, cucumber and celery, they are all on an IC diet, then they have their dry mix (Vitakraft grainless and Oxbow Essentials) and endless hay - meadow, timothy and orchard grass plus treats of oat hay and Vitakraft mixes.

Mine are the other way around... they act like they HATE things then suddenly it's their favourite ever.

I remember Mr Freddie picking up a piece of sweet pepper between his teeth and repeatedly bashing it against the side of the cage when I first tried them with it. This happen for about three months but now they love it.

Celery is a favourite of mine too... altho I'll never forget when Mr Freddie picked up an entire stick, got over excited and popcorned, and the stick of celery twanged against the side of the cage and catapulted him across it!

Cute! Pack mentality, hahaha ;-)

I think I'm being thick here but what is an IC diet?

Pickles has a hugely sweet tooth and absolutely adores any fruit, but especially bananas and grapes. Pumpkin is the opposite and hates any thing sweet, but adores anything salad-y and they both share a mutual disgust of courgette. I can't stand it myself, so my mum tries to palm it off on the pigs, but they won't have any of it!
