"What's that noise?"

I just had a call from my GP, I was in the kitchen making lunch at the time, so came into my bedroom to take the call...

Suddenly, as soon as I open the door.... WHEEK WHEEK WHEEK WHEEK WHEEK WHEEK WHEEK x4! I only forgot to give them veggies this morning rolleyes

My GP was most confused, and asked "What's that noise?!" ... "err...guinea pigs..!" "oooh really? it's absolutely delightful!"

We spent more time talking about guinea pigs than my actual illness :))
 
LOl, similar thing happend to me last night, i was laying on the bed with lap top on my lap (on here) and on the phone to my friend, who i have not spoken to for a while, then all of a sudden wheek wheek wheek.........My friend went silent and said what is that, are you ok? LOL i PMSL and reminded her i had guinea pigs, then she thought it was really cute and wanted to ciber stroke one LOL.

I got so confused with the GP part - i thought you ment you got a call from your Guinea Pig :x

Please dont tell me i am the only one who has asked to speak to their pigs when i have been away for the weekend......?
 
Luckily, my MIL is there or a family member, but i have asked her to put the phone to the pigs and i have spoken to them and had phone chewing response.

Whenever I leave my phone on the floor Cash always runs over and stares intently at it for several minutes... I always assume he's having some sort of Pinky and the Brain moment :))
 
I am totally unashamed when I admit that I too initially read that as getting a call from your piggy. :(|)

I sometimes get calls from my piggies... Assisted, of course (I'd wet myself if I actually got a call off them...!) but it's always nice to talk or whistle down loud-speaker and get wheeks back at me! Mum does it to cheer me up while I'm at uni - takes the piggies veggies out to them while having me on speaker in her pocket so I can hear my piggles.... Good times :3

:)) I was cuddling my two the other morning and the phone rang so I had the person on the phone talking in one ear and them talking in my other rolleyes

We normally have a problem with our canaries we have five and two of them are boys and they love to duet while you're on the phone, my dad regularly ends up having conversations about canaries. :))

How great would that be though if your Piggies called or texted you LOL :a19::(|):))-c
 
Haha that would be awesome if the piggies could call and text.

If my lot texted me... it would probably be something along the lines of "wheek wheek! I want my veggies now mum!"

I automatically think of g.p. as a piggie! And my sponsor pig at Cavy Corner is actually called GP - we regularly have phone conversations. Doesn't everyone?

This thread sure took a different direction! I, too, thought that the "call" was from the guinea pigs x4 in the bedroom calling out wheek wheek wheek, hence going to the bedroom to "take the call". . . . How cute that your caller got to hear all the little beasties and enjoyed it.
