I feed mine on Waggs Guinea Brunch, I always get empty bowls. ;)

Pellets prevent selective feeding so you know your piggies are getting everything they should be getting out of their food.

3 of mine like gerty guinea pig and the other two will have excel nuggets

All 5 of mine give a paws up for burgess excel nuggets! Either flavour is good, although one won't eat the blackcurrant and oregano rolleyes

In my opinion the flavour is disgusting! But my piggies like them ;)

Thank you all. I think I'll go for the excel pellets first then and see how they go :)

yes mine have burgess excell they are partial to the blackcurrant and oregano:))

We recently moved from Burgess Excel (which is great) over to Supreme Science Selective. The SS is vet recommended and is a little more nutritious than Burgess. For most piggies, it really isn't worht the difference in cost, so I would recommend the Burgess (there are a few flavours too, some with blackcurrant and oregano if I'm not mistaken). We went for the SS Selective as one of our boars has had a lot of digestion issues so we needed a more "scientific" pellet :)

We've always avoided mueslis and mixes because you can get selective eating which you really don't want :)

My 10 like the Wagg Optimum and we tried Excel nuggets which they weren't too keen on. Bought a bag of Excel Blackcurrant & Oregano last week and they love it :(|)

my lot have the supreme science selective nuggets (in the purple bag) only because Rose was having gut troubles and the vet advised me to switch to these nuggets, and she has improved alot and they've only been having them 6 weeks.

my foster piggies have excel and my own 4 have SS.

Aha - you're discriminating against the foster piggies then - lol :)) Only joking. There is a difference in price and there's nothing wrong with the Burgess stuff I don't think.

On a different note, if you're still trying to decide. The smaller packs of Science Selective come in a re-sealable bag. This could be important because the added vitamin C in pellets degrades very quickly once you open the bag. The re-sealable bag means your pellets will lose less vitamin C, less quickly. I'm not sure if it's going to be worth the difference in price for you but it's something to bear in mind :)

Mine have Beaphar's Care Plus pellets - they love them, and they smell so yummy I'd like to eat them myself :red

I tried wagg pellets and stop due to many going to rubbish.

I mix Burgess Excel Tasty Nuggets,Burgess Excel Guinea Pig Blackcurrant and Oregano,Wagg Optimum Premium and selective.Found that all sows prefer different food.

Mine have excel nuggets which they used to eat with gusto but recently I've noticed that they're not as interested in them anymore. Thinking of changing over when I've got rid of the 4kg bag!

I did once get them Science Selective for a short period but again, they didn't seem as interested in them either.

Maybe I just have fussy piggies!
