Hi everyone. I would like to know what is the best fruit n veg to give my baby Guiness as i have just bought him from a pet shop and he is looking quite thin, especially around the back . I have been giving him carrot, cucumber, brocolli and constant supply of hay and his gerty guinea pig food. He is 12 weeks old.

Hi There

My boys are 12 weeks old too. I have been giving them celery, red peppers, parsley, broccoli, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and sweetcorn. They sometimes have fruit but only about twice a week. They like apple and banana so far. They also have their GP muesli (I am trying to switch them to pellets but they seem to be throwing them all out of the bowl and only eating some of the muesli, very frustrating) and plenty of hay.

Hope that helps, :)

My two sows are around the same age as yours and since I got them at around 7 weeks I have been feeding them a variety everyday including...

Sweetcorn, bell peppers, carrots, some lavender, carrots, dandelion leaves, parsnip, radish, parsley:))

I feed my 2 guinea pigs carrot, cabbage and cauli leaves. They love it

:)) I have to admit that I feed my piggies a selection of the finest reduced veg that the local supermarket has to offer :))
