I always thought for rabbits 6ft by 2ft by 2ft, and guineas 4ft by 2ft by 1.5ft

Listed a 4ft by 2ft hutch on eBay saying not suitable for rabbits, only guineas due to RSPCA requirements and some member has sent me a really angry email saying it's not upto RSPCA minimums.....

Suppose she's ignored all the dirty 3ft hutches advertised as 'rabbit hutches' then mallethead

Nvm - found loads of RSPCA links saying it's 4ft by 2ft.....:x

4' x 2' is the 'standard' recommended size for a pair of guineas, trouble is most hutches aren't actually 2' wide at all, only 1.5. But still - a bit rude to send you that sort of message!

Well I thought that, the hutch is definitely 4ft by 2ft, and I said 2 or 3 times in the listing that it was only suitable for guinea pigs, not for rabbits.

Rude, especially due to the nature of the listing, mentioning loads of welfare points and saying guineas can't live out all year, need lots of hay etc....it's not like I'm trying to sell a hutch and not caring about the future occupants :x

i hate the little trojans that go around the internet correcting everyone i got told that i was irresponsible for letting my guinea pig eat a tomato once rolleyes apparently i should take all the seeds out :x

The internet is full of these totally righteous individuals. I think you've done all that you can stating the item isn't suitable for rabbits but if some idiot wants to buy it for a rabbit then there's not much you can do to stop them other than advise against it.

Yes a lot of shop bought hutches aren't 2ft wide and the more space the better but I think 4ft by 2ft plus daily run time is pretty adequate.
