i am a bit conserned about Will my 5yr old boar the last 2 days he hasnt been his self he wont come out of the cabin only to eat and drink and his eyes look really small and dull my hubby said hes just staying in the warm but you know dont you when something is not quite right xx

i have just fetched him out to give him a cuddle , he had some runny poo on his bottom when i squeezed it with tissue lots more came out and it stunk none of my piggies have ever had diarriah x

is he being him self when you cuddle him? it could just be he's getting older & doesn;t feel like running around much (none of us want to admit this)

if you are not happy may be a visit to the vet just to check him over xx

are you sure he is not impacted? sounds like that maybe the cause, I would recommend you give him some probiotics. Does he have a cagemate to keep him company? have you fed him anything unusual lately? If he is an outdoor piggy it is not a good idea to bring them inside during the winter as they can't cope very well with the temperature changes greater than 5 C.

I'm not an expert but from reading threads on this forum diarroah is very serious for guinea pigs so I think you have to get your piggie to a vet. Let us know how you get on.

I'm sorry Will doesn't seem to be well. It sounds like it could be impaction, especially if you've not noticed any actual diarrhoea in the cage.

Are there any normal poops in the cage? Is he eating a normal amount?
