We have recently took on two male mice that needed a home to day I put them in the same room as the guineas. The girls seem fine but Edward seems a bit worried and seems to be hiding away and it took him ages to come out for his salad. He was fine before the mice were in there.Could he be smelling that they are males ?

Hi Nicky, I see you have expanded your menagerie! I don't know anything about mice and their effects on guinea pigs but I suggest you check Edwards weight and give him a general check if he is slow to eat. If in any doubt get your vet to check him, the mice may be just a coincidence. I hope he is ok. Barbara xx

Thank you x Yes we said No more animals :lol!: but these little animals were really in need . Lucky Edward seemed to get over his funny behaviour within a couple of hours of the mice been in there. I will keep an eye on him and weigh him but am sure it was the male smell as he kept lifting his head and sniffing and male mice do smell:vom:
