What's With This Weather?

It was nice this morning, but forecast for rain, so I got the grass cut. It was really long and lush, and great for the piggies, but it was getting to the length where I was going to need a scythe, so I thought I'd better do it since it was forecast for rain over the next few days, and the piggies wouldn't be able to get out on it anyway......and this afternoon - it's glorious. Now far be it from me to complain about the weather, but the piggies could have had one last go at all that delicious grass!
 
When my OH gets the law mower out to mow the front garden I don't let him do the back lawn (his job to mow the grass I seem to do everything else!) as my herd of 5 are quite happy to do it and they fertilise it too! My back lawn is gonna be so good next year! The girls were out on the back garden this morning before the rain set in. All 5 have been on the patio for the last few days as the garden has been too wet. The girls really enjoyed being on the grass again. They boys will be on it tomorrow if it's nice. If I put all 5 in the run they eat the patch so much I have to reseed it. And then the :cen: pigeons eat the seed so it takes ages to grow back!
 
lol. I'd had mine off the grass for a week or so because of the weather and I've got to be in to keep an eye on them, but they've had a couple of days now. I put them out on the cut grass with some hay anyway, but it looks as if the promised rain is about to arrive, so they're coming in now.
 
Its been raining all day here, not the "showers" that were forecast. I should be happy tho as we need some rain to help the grass grow back. The piggies have munched it all down and the lawn is now very short and kinda tufty looking. I think some lovely sunny days to follow this rain should do the trick:)

It's just started here too.
 
Yesterday 30km from Rome where my husband is working there was a sudden unexpected fload with heavy rain and big hail which ruined our car. The temperature suddendly fell from 28°C down to 9°C! My husband had the office flooded and the motorway was flooded, too.

freaky weather...ive spent the day running in and outdoors covering and then uncovering the hutches...I got a little over zealous deleting the front of house camera recordings, but will give you an idea.

Well, I spent the day in Manchester with a friend. At 9am very well known weather app assured me there would be no rain in Manchester before 4pm. And then only light rain until 6pm when it would become heavy. I relied on the app and decided to take a small folding umbrella with me and no coat.
It lied. Or was very badly mistaken. Or was telling the weather somewhere other than Manchester.
At 12.30 the heavens opened and it rained. And poured. And drenched the whole city non stop, pavements resembled rivers and the roads had surface lakes. And my friend and I were soaked to the skin. By the time I got home I had to change every single item of clothing and my shoes are on the radiator drying out.
Hang your head in shame BBC Weather.....

I'm afraid the BBC are shocking when it comes to predicting the weather...try accuweather app, a little more reliable x

Showers all day here. Piggys are fed up, they had got used to going out every day, they've been stuck indoors since Tuesday. How do you explain to a piggy that it's the weather's fault they can't have grass time not the slave being mean? We have clay soil so once it does stop raining it takes a few days for the ground to dry out.
 
Only just caught up with this thread. It was lovely all day here yesterday (Friday) and the girlies loved grass time! Sorry to bring you the news from the sunny south! Today apparently isn't going to be so good: rain is forecast. But at the mo the sun is shining, not a cloud in the sky and the piggies are just enjoying their breakfast pellets. Not sure weather to put the boys out today or not.:hmm:

It's up and down here too! I haven't managed to get the pigs out much at all this year yet and I'm going to have to cut the grass in their run soon if they can't be let loose on it. They get some hand pulled from their run every day, but it doesn't beat being able to get out.
