Our 8 week old boar who we got on Sunday had fungal on his rump which has now gone as the hairs growing back:)
But today i noticed on his one ear he has white crust manly on the inside around the edge of the ear. Is this just dry skin? Or could it be fungal?

Hate to say it, but what you're describing sounds exactly what Piglet had on his ear when he had ringworm. Best get to a vet.

Could that be to do with the fungal he had?
And here's some pictures i just took...

Ringworm is so tedious to treat because of how contagious it is. Best get to the vet and start treating Dougie like a lepor...don't want to infect anybody else! Piglet's stayed away after we disinfected the cage and got him on his meds. Hth. And good luck!

The only correct way to identify Ringworm is to do a fungal culture, any guinea pig's in contact with the infected pig should also be treated. Please remember Ringworm can spread to humans.

Thanks. Worried about Cookie getting it now and me! Never knew humans could get it. Best start washing my hands after i touch him :{

Turned out to be a bit of dry skin we think as i put E45 on his ear and it cleared up over night:) Will still keep an eye on him though
