well they were reasonably good.......not totally freaked but OK
i had lots of parsley as a treat for afterwards :)
I bathed Onyx first i thought shorter hair first to let me get hang of it, she tried to escape and then when i blow dried her she was not exactly happy but once i put food in front of her mouth it was ok mummy whatever rolleyes:(|)
Then i came to Velvet.......ahhh more interesting with that looooooong locks i was a bit over whelmed but we got thru it but i took me 3 goes to blow dry i was so worried she was not dried so i let her go and play with Onyx for fun and then re blow dried her another twice..... didn't want a wet piggie :{

They smelt lovely but i only used water and mild sorbolene soap as of course i'd thrown out my shampoo hadn't i...............could i have some lovely suggestions of what i could use, erm but from OZ :)

I use a mild rehydrating shampoo (Episoothe, mainly of cats/dogs) which I have been given by my vet for Dizzy's problems with dry skin during the heating season. I don't know whether it's ideal, but it leaves mine with a wonderful, soft, shiny coat...

I'm using that up before I go and order from gorgeous guineas.

Hi Glynis :) I love using Posh and go from gorgeous guineas - it's for long haired piggies and it smells of turkish delight :) I also use lice and easy every 6 weeks which is also from gorgeous guineas - it helps prevent skin parasites :) Oh and the lavender shampoo from gorgeous guineas is nice too - but the posh and go is just gorgeous and leaves long haired piggies feeling like silk :) I know gorgeous guineas do sell trial size bottles - I don't know whether she posts to Oz - e-mail her and ask :)

i think she sent some stuff to Bonnie (tries to remember :{)
I have to be careful with my hands tho, i'm allergic to a few things just my eczema mallethead

THanks for your help guys xoxoxoxoxoxo

I use Aveeno Unscented Advanced Care body wash for itchy, extra dry skin...has worked like a dream with all the baths I've given. Had to find something very sensitive just because we were afraid of irritating their skin.

Glad it went as smooth as possible! And food seems to make them forget very quickly all about the hell you just put them through! :))

Just did a search and we have them in our Pulse Pharmacies so i'll go and check it out later today when i go do food shopping -c

I use the Aristopet Small Animal Shampoo that you can get in Pet Shops or for Teddy I just use the Baby Shampoo, makes his locks all shiny and silky.
As for the Eczema....how about using gloves ... cotton gloves first before the dreaded plastic varieties, that might help a bit.
