Gaia is a fan of whinging non-stop and bar-biting to get her grub whilst Minerva tends to stand by and let Gaia 'do the work,' though she occasionally teeth chatters if she is feeling impatient.

Gotta say, I miss the wheeking.... I haven't heard a proper wheek in ages. Gaia is withholding....

Gaia: Wheeking requires too much effort... Besides, you don't deserve the pleasure of my masterful voice!

How are your piggies ensuring you provide them with sufficient snacks?

Gaia is a terrible bar-biter! You can see she is throwing all her effort into it when she bites down and starts pulling... she's not just pinging the bars with her teeth; it looks like she's trying to lift the whole cage up like The Hulk! I'm worried she'll break her teeth doing it and treating her obviously rewards the behaviour so I either end up giving in, covering the bars with a tea towel so she can't see what is going on, or, picking her up. She is only happy with one result. :P

My other half has resorted to bum tickles, to where Ozzy just runs away wee wee weeing 🤣 they are funny little things. I know what you mean with trying to lift the whole cage up, they’re such strong little animals! Ones who know how to bargain way better than us hoomans 😁

Walter has become a terrible bar biter, such a demanding piggie-boss :roll: whereas Steve will just yell as soon as it’s feeding time, even if we’re in the other room :))
The other two just let their cage mates do the work lol
 
Chez bites the bars hardcore. He thinks even if I'm out of the room I know he's doing it so I often go in the room and he's at it. I'm never sure how long he's been doing it.

When they were cage mates he taught Stripe how to do it, but Stripe only does it for a cookie. And he does it very delicately.
 
Mabel is my most recently adopted piggy but immediately knew how to get her snacks. She comes up to the end of the C&C cage and sits and stares at me as if to say 'I am a starving piggy who hasn't been fed for so long'. The others then follow her to gang up on me and Bridget will stand on Mabel's back to make me feel very guilty ....... and most of the time it works :D
 
Bann glares in reproachful silence. He knows if that doesn't work he can follow it with begging at the bars, because I'm a soft touch and he knows what works.

Mourne doesn't do subtle. Unlike Bann, he just shouts and screams and screeches. At me, at Bann, into the void. Who needs subtle when you've got a voice to use?
 
Master Boris tends to bar bite in between shrieks and running around like a pig possessed.
Sir George generally waits to see if anything is forthcoming. If there's anything interesting he then ambles over and looks gorgeous.
That's for extras, for regulars like breakfast, veggie dindins etc he is a fan of the judgemental stare!

Haha I once watched my little Freddy use his teeth to pull open the c and c cage so that it opened between panels - all so he could go and rumble to his previous cage mate (who he had fallen out with) in a separate cage on the other side of the room🤣 rest assured plenty more cable ties were added after and my gosh I thought I saw him turning green into the Hulk… hahahaha
 
Pistachio wheeks whenever he hears the fridge opening. Peanut who is five years his junior has just found his wheek and does it whenever he hears my voice. It’s soooo cute! Am guessing he knows that 😉
 
Lily damn near tears down the cage with her teeth while Rosie switches on “adorable goofball mode”. She starts running around confused and fighting pieces of hay that dare get on her way. It’s the funniest thing, I’ve never seen a piggy do that.
 
Awwwww..... Minerva is trying to copy Gaia's bar-biting begging technique but isn't quite getting it right.... 🥹

She's repeatedly pressing the bars with her nose and waiting, wondering why it isn't making the same sounds as when Gaia does it.

She got treats just for being cute.
 
The mesh on the Piggy Palace is too small for biting, but they get their share of bar-biting when they are in the carry box while I clean up their house. Mostly they just shout a lot. Sometimes Fifi will jump up on to the tunnel - it's wood, so it can take her considerable weight. They will also both sit up and beg like a dog would. And then there's the staring...they are good at that.
