I have a sow that has had 4 weeks treatment with her previous owner and 3 treatments with me, her hair where it was bald is now covering the skin(when I got her there was no hair growth and the skin was scabby) and all scabs have gone. I have also treated her friend who hadn't been done by prev owner. Am I ok to assume she is now over the infection, or do I need to quarantine for longer?

I see a lot of people have viewed this but no replies. I'm not sure either to be honest. I've been treating my boy for the past month and it seems to be all gone and his fur is growing back. I'm assuming he's probably clear now. That's 7 weeks in all your girl has been treated and her hair is growing back so maybe ok now. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me can answer!

I give it 2 weeks remission after the last fungal bath which has removed any acute signs of fungal. Usually, you will see a new outbreak between 10-14 days if it hasn't cleared properly (expecially any affected hair roots).

If hair is growing back and there are no new signs of fungal, then you should be OK.

When I was treating my pig Boris for fungal the vet advised me to treat each lesion for 4 weeks. So basically it was 4 weeks from when the last lesion/scab appeared that it was considered safe. Luckily Boris only had mild fungal though!
