Junior Guinea Pig
I'm an enthusiastic corner cutter when it is done for the right reason. Finding ways to save time and effort gives you more time with the piggies.
For instance, I used to clip and tuck the fleece so it was absolutely flat and taut. I found since I had the second piece of coroplast on the bottom of each of the two levels, a little bit of tucking really did just as well.
Recently I put a large metal basket in their cage which could be filled with a lot more hay, that saves time.
Last week, I was feeling a bit under the weather, so I decided to skip wiping down the coroplast when I changed the fleece. The sides sometimes get soiled. I decided later that was not an OK corner cutter.
Things I never cut corners on are fresh clean water daily and always plenty of good quality hay.
What about you, when do you cut corners, and when not?
