When is my sow gonna have her period

Hi, my sow Cookie is about 2 1/2 years old now and females animals are supposed to have their menstal (sp?) circle just like us female humans, right? but my Cookie hasn't started yet? I've never seen any blood in her cage or around her bum area. When do you think she'll have them?
 
they don't!? oh! well ain't they lucky! :P well i'm glad about that then because i don't have to wonder anymore
 
Nope they are lucky in that they don't have a period. They come into heat every 14/17 days you may notice rumbling from a sow in heat but thats it. :)
 
Yeah, when i used to have my other guinea pig, Brandy. Cookie used to get abit randy with her even though she was a girl too :))
 
Sows can occasionaly have a one off pinky colour dischargew when they are on heat, but this is fairly uncommon and nothing to worry about.
