When piggies eat their veggies...

I've just been sat watching my girls munch through their evening veggies and i've noticed that when they're eating they seem to fluff themselves up a bit. I know normally this wouldn't be a good sign but they only do it when they're munching on their veg! Has anyone else noticed this ?/
 
some of mine do this...
i've noticed with my herd it seems to be the lower ranking girls that do it... basically the nervous ones...
but... equally it could also be a young piggie thing... becuase there the youngest....
so... no help at all really....
I'm curious to knwo why aswell.... :))

Maybe just trying to look big to warn the others not to try and pinch the food!
 
William does this all the time! He sits at the bowl, fluffs himself up, and gets the good veggies for himself! :)

Alan & Clive have to wait their turn :))
 
Ahhhh so maybe they are trying to look bigger so that they get first dibs of the veggies! That sounds like a good interpretation!
 
It's rather more obvious with smooth piggies than with abys or longhairs!
 
Ive noticed with my boys either Harvey sits ontop of the veggies (and Artie gets nothing) or Artie grabs one by one and makes a pile at the other end of the shed. Then Harvey is left looking very confused :))

Oh this did make me chuckle, i can just imagine them both now! You've seen a video of my girls eating, they're very well behaved! They just both sit and eat out of one bowl, taking bit by bit :)) Phew!

:(|) It never fails to amaze me however much choice of veggies the piggies have, why do they always want that piece that the other one is happily munching away on :...
 
My Patch does this.....it's very cute and makes him look so fuzzy wuzzy....don't think it's quite the image he's going for though.
