Sorry me again!

So when my baby piggies come home with me...any tips?

What is a good way to transport them? Should I bring some of the bedding they are in home with me and mix it in their new home? Should I leave them alone for a day? How long must I resist snuggling them? Any help appreciated thank you x

It's always best to make them feel as comfortable as possible to avoid causing them to much stress so what I'd do is yes do that bedding thing you suggested and also it's best to leave them alone for atleast 3 to 4 days to let them get used to their environment, also make sure to have the cage set up before you go and get them so that as soon as you come home they can go right into their new home, have some toys and fresh food and water as well, also make sure to have atleast somewhere for them to hide in, atleast one per piggy and yes it's gonna be a struggle to aviod holding them for a while but it will help them settle in better and get used to you, also even tho you shouldent touch them for a few days dosent mean you can't talk to them let them get used to your voice so they know they can trust you more.
Good luck and can't wait to see your babies

Great I just found a list of high vit c veg to get ready thanks x

When we got new pigs, we didn't leave them alone. From the beginning we interacted with them. We are part of their environment. They have to get used to that. It hasn't done any harm. So, I don't think there is a right or wrong way to do this. Just follow your feelings; be guided by how your pigs respond; be patient.

Re transporting - a small plastic cat carrier, with newspaper on the bottom and plenty of hay to hide in.

I personally think with prey species its best to carry on life around them but not pick them up, or put your hands in their cage more than necessary, for a couple of days. I think it just lets them settle and realise they are safe in their new place. Then start picking them up for cuddles, offering veggies from your hand, etc.

Make sure you check what veggies they are used to and start with only giving those and then gradually introduce new ones. Same for pellets - make sure you have some of the ones they are used to. Then, if you want to change it to a different brand, do it slowly by mixing a small amount of the new ones with the old ones. Then keep gradually increasing the amount of new brand ones whilst decreasing the amount of the old ones.

When are they coming?

As said above, resist the urge to take them out for a couple of days until they have fully settled into their new home
